The breakfast was amazing and absolutely superb with fruit and fluffy. the king room I stayed in was spotlessly clean in contemporary style. - the location turned out to be marvellous, a short walk to restaurants, nice bars, and the beautiful garden.

The hotel was in a very central location to the center of the old port. What's more, it was so close to all the attractions of Chania...
Can’t think of anything.

Got a king room with access to an outside space when I arrived, enjoyed that. The breakfast had a lot of freshly made food and drinks. The location was marvelous, in a historic area a short walk to many restaurants, cafes, shops, and Chania's harbor, an excellent base for me.

What an amazing place! My husband and I spent 5 nights here and were more than pleased with our stay! I had read great things about the breakfast and it was as amazing as everyone described, and served every morning in a beautiful shaded courtyard. The owners were fantastic and so kind, there was a taxi strike going on, and they even helped us get to the bus station on the day we checked out. It's family owned and they were very kind and helpful. The room was great as well. I emailed and asked for a room overlooking the courtyard and they were quick to respond, and not only did we get a room overlooking to courtyard, but we also had a private door to the rooftop courtyard as well. The location was perfect for us, so close to old town but not too much in the middle of things. I was 8 months pregnant and it was an easy walk to everything we wanted to see. We loved it and would stay again without a doubt!
Two mornings there was no hot water, but that is pretty typical for Europe.

The owners of this small hotel were terrific. They gave us great suggestions on restaurants, and helpful advice on excursions and activities. At the end of our stay we had some difficulties (unrelated to the hotel) and the owners went well beyond the normal expectations to help. The location was within walking distance of all parts of the old city but far enough away so that it was quiet in the evening. As previous guests have stated, the breakfast is amazing - no need for lunch, we just had breakfast and dinner. If we come to Crete again we would definitely stay at the Splanzia Boutique Hotel.

Beautiful garden in back with tables; quiet side street, lovely spacious room; delicious breakfast; staff were incredibly helpful in sharing recommendations for the rest of our vacation in Crete, and steered us to many small and out of the way tavernas with good food that we never would have found on our own; returning to Splanzia after a warm afternoon of walking around Chania and being offered a glass of cold freshly squeezed orange juice to sip in the garden

Stayed for 4 nights and had a really nice experience. Reasonably large rooms in a relatively quiet area near Chania's harbor. - the hotel staff were the best - extremely friendly. - Big beds, air conditioning, and reliable WiFi available. - Absolutely stunning view from the rooftop window. - Private parking nearby was a great convenience.

Absolutely incredible service. The breakfast was amazing and the attentiveness to guest needs was simply outstanding. The rooms were not ornate but nicely decorated and comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel.
Parking around the hotel can be a little frustrating. Street parking is free, but you just have to find it. The staff was very helpful in suggesting places to park and even holding a spot for us, but each time we returned to the hotel we had to make a few loops around in order to find parking.

Location: the hotel was very close to the outdoor garden shaded by trees, and bars and restaurants and pedestrian promenade. Papoutsomenos Ntakos, where you can eat great food, was set 5 minutes walk away. My double room was freshly renovated with climate control and a sufficient WiFi. The breakfast was sumptuous and plentiful, with a great selection of meals.

We very much enjoyed our 4 nights at Splanzia Hotel. This family-run hotel is well managed by Nikos and his brother who catered for our needs and were very helpful when asking for various recommendations in Chania. They make a very good effort with breakfast which is served in a pretty courtyard. Really liked the wooden shutters in our bedroom which meant that we could have long lie-ins. Would recommend
